Kihei, Maui, November 25, 2009 – Kihei Elementary School will be open to students on Furlough Friday, December 4th, 2009. The December 4th KCKC program will consist of ART by Wailea Artist Ed Lane, P.E. instructed by Aniko Hager, Dance lessons by Kihei Academy of Dance, and Story Time by Ms. Barbara Miller.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers from all of Maui, November 20th KCKC at Kihei Elementary School, was a huge success to the children of both Kamalii Elementary and Kihei Elementary schools! The children had a fun, safe day consisting of P.E. by Aniko Hager, Music by Ebb & Flow Arts Company, Story Time by Ms. Barbara Miller and social time with friends supervised by our fantastic volunteers….Mahalo to you all!
The school will be under the management of the Kihei School PTA on Furlough Fridays and will be staffed by citizen volunteers. Volunteer and student registration forms can be downloaded from this site or picked up at the Kihei Elementary School main office, then faxed to Bridget (toll-free) at (888) 761-9413.
All students and volunteers are to check in and check out at the Kihei Elementary School cafeteria.
Parents: download and complete registration form and liability waiver form for students to participate in the Kihei School furlough friday program. Bring both completed forms with you when you drop off your student(s) at Kihei School for the furlough friday program. 1. Email Bridget Bunting at kiheipta@aol.com and let her know which day(s) you’re going to be volunteering at Kihei School.
2. Download and print the volunteer registration and waiver forms below. Complete and sign the forms, fax them if you can to Bridget (toll-free) at (888) 761-9413 and bring them, together with a valid government-issued photo ID, with you to your volunteer shift at Kihei School.
NOTE: Persons who occur on the State of Hawaii’s publicly-available sex offender database and/or the State of Hawaii’s e-crim database will not be utilized for the program. Volunteer registration forms will be checked against these databases. By completing and submitting the registration form, you agree to allow Kihei School PTA to make such database checks and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kihei School PTA and its agents, officers, employees and assigns from any and all claims that may result from such checks.

Kihei, Maui, November 16, 2009 – Thanks to the hard work of Kihei Elementary School PTA and local Kihei School administrators, Kihei Elementary School will be open to students on Furlough Fridays, beginning Friday, November 20, 2009.
The school will be under the management of the Kihei School PTA on Furlough Fridays and will be staffed by citizen volunteers.
Hours will be 8:05 AM to 2 PM. Parents who wish to participate are to report with their students to the Magenta gate on Lower Campus beginning at 8:05 AM for dropoff and registration. Attendance is free. Pick-up will also be at the Magenta Gate at 2 PM. Click here for advance registration and waiver forms.
Fifty citizen volunteers are needed to staff Kihei School on Friday, November 20. Volunteers will complete registration forms available online here and will be subject to a background check.
